Innovation Investment Plans

The research and knowledge dissemination enterprise BIOAXIS HEALTHCARE SOUTHEAST EUROPE SINGLE MEMBER PRIVATE COMPANY and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Special Account for Research Funds, 2nd University Neurology Clinic, which operate in the Region of Central Macedonia, have joined the Action "Innovation Investment Plans" of the Region of Central Macedonia, within the framework of the Operational Program "Central Macedonia 2021-2027".

The Action aims to strengthen research, technological development, and innovation, as well as to promote investments for the development of products and services in the priority sectors of the Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3).

The total budget of the investment plan is €399,650.00, of which the public expenditure amounts to €364,930.00 and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and Greece within the framework of the Operational Program "Central Macedonia 2021-2027".

The business plan approved for funding and implemented includes investments in the following categories:

• Personnel expenses

• Expenses for instruments & research equipment

• Expenses for contract research, knowledge, and patents

• Additional general expenses and other operating costs

• Feasibility study expenses

• Expenses for patents and other intangible assets

• Expenses for the secondment of highly specialized personnel to new positions created for the project

• Expenses for consulting and support services in the field of innovation​

Through its participation in the Action, the enterprise/organization achieved:

• Development of synergies with Research and Academic Institutions/Businesses

• Increase in competitiveness

• Transfer of know-how

• Production of new innovative products/services in the priority sectors of the Smart Specialization Strategy

• Enhancement of extroversion

• Employment of highly specialized scientific personnel
